Hi Jenni, Liz, Jean, Doreen and Joanna, thank you all so much for your reasurance and tips I'm beginning to feel a little calmer now. Liz you answered all the questions which was brilliant and thanks Jenni for the tip about the piriton, I think the nurse did say they would give me that so I'll make a note of it. I can't find the post you say you did about your experience but maybe I shouldn't read that until its all done and dusted?
I will take advantage of the time to read and have the new Roy Lewis Murder Mystery, plus a couple of family history magazines, maybe I'll buy a hello magazine on the way in -not that I ever know who's who in it.
If the treatment works, in a few months time can I join the forum Synchronised Pole Dancing Squad?
Thanks again all and I'll let you know how it went.
My best wishes
Sheila

Hi All,
Just to say thanks again, the infusion went without a hitch yesterday after a few attemps to find a suitable vein, and even that wasn't so bad. It took longer than I thought it would as they put a bag of saline in first to which they added the steroids and piriton which then had me dozing off.
Staff were lovely, constantly offering tea and coffee and checking things. Felt a bit woozy last night and couldn't use a keyboard, but today I've been fine and the steroids have really improved the joints, I know that won't last but its good whilst it does.
As you all said a good excuse to do nothing for the day and I certainly won't be worried about the next dose in a fortnight.

Best wishes
Sheila
